Press Releases

Sugar Land, TX (May 17, 2016) -- Wireless Seismic, Inc., the leading innovator of real-time and cable-free seismic data acquisition systems for the oil and gas industry, announced today the sale and delivery of its RT System 2 seismic data acquisition system to the Japanese survey and consulting company, JGI, Inc.  JGI plans to use RT System 2 on various types of projects, mainly typified by non-resource surveys and academic research, presently in Japan, and for overseas surveys in the future.

"We chose to purchase the RT System 2 in order to take advantage of its potential for future business expansion utilizing real-time, cableless systems," stated Satoshi Ohnishi, General Manager of JGI.  "We look forward to offering the RT System 2 to our clients to enable greater operational efficiencies on their projects."

"This sale to JGI represents a further expansion in RT System 2's global reach," said Mick Lambert, President and CEO, Wireless Seismic, Inc.  "JGI's purchasing decision was made following extensive field testing of the system in challenging field conditions in Japan.  Again, RT System 2 successfully demonstrated that it can acquire data in real time while working with minimal disturbance to the environment.  We look forward to seeing JGI expand the uses and applications of RT System 2 in their research projects."

Wireless Seismic will be exhibiting RT System 2 at the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) annual conference in Vienna, Austria, May 30 to June 2, 2016.

About Wireless Seismic
Wireless Seismic, Inc. is revolutionizing onshore seismic data acquisition with RT System 2, the industry's only fully scalable wireless seismic recording system with real-time data transmission. Headquartered in Sugar Land, Texas, with offices worldwide, the company's recording systems enable contractors to efficiently tackle the most challenging projects by delivering commercially compelling solutions for conventional surveys and passive monitoring for hydraulic fracturing.

About JGI
JGI, Inc. was established as a subsidiary of Japan Petroleum Exploration Co., Ltd. (JAPEX) in April 1983.  JGI is a specialized technical service company dedicated to the applied geoscience field with a high degree of technical capability that covers the field of petroleum and natural gas surveys, the exploration for geothermal energy, and a variety of consulting business, including large-scale surveys of the earth's crust for earthquake hazard prevention.  For more information, go to www.jgi-inc.com.

Sugar Land, TX (May 10, 2016) -- Wireless Seismic, Inc., the leading innovator of real-time and cable-free seismic data acquisition systems for the oil and gas industry, announced today the sale and delivery of its RT System 2 seismic data acquisition system to the French seismic data acquisition company GALLEGO TECHNIC Geophysics.  GALLEGO plans to use RT System 2 for 2D and 3D seismic surveys for geothermal prospecting, oil and mineral resources exploration, and civil construction (tunnels, metro stations, etc.) in France, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Switzerland, and Western Europe.

"The challenges we face working in Europe dictated our decision to purchase the RT System 2," stated Pierre Gallego, Director of GALLEGO.  "We work mainly in urban areas and wanted a wireless system with a highly developed infrastructure to allow us to quickly deploy and pick up the equipment with minimal manpower.  This system is the best way to avoid urban traffic congestion without cable lines crossing highways, tram railways, and other obstructions.  We focus on minimizing environmental impact, as we also operate in agricultural fields and nature conservation zones."

"We expect to achieve a new level of data quality and efficiency with RT System 2," continued Gallego, "and its real-time acquisition and other technical advantages will enable us to provide high-quality, efficient, and cost-effective surveys to our clients."

"We are delighted that GALLEGO has chosen to deploy RT System 2 for their projects in Europe," said Mick Lambert, Wireless Seismic President and CEO.  "A major contributing factor in GALLEGO's purchasing decision was the positive recommendations received from existing RT System 2 customers around the world that already benefit from the cost reductions and improved operational efficiencies that can be achieved by using our system for their seismic acquisition projects."

Wireless Seismic will be exhibiting RT System 2 at the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) annual conference in Vienna, Austria, May 30 to June 2, 2016.

"This technology allows you to design the most effective and efficient surveys, which is advantageous over our competitors."  -Vadim Krizhanovsky, Operational Manager, Yug-Neftegaz

"Unlike a nodal system, our client's valuable data are returned in real time and not left in the acquisition units on the line, making our operation more secure."  -T.S. Winsaro,Deputy Director of Geoscience Services, Elnusa

After extensive test trials in China, SINOPEC impressed by RT System 2's ability to record data in real time without cables.

New world record set for number of seismic channels transmitted cable-free in real time

"We are very impressed with the reduced HSE exposure and other benefits that eliminating cables have delivered without compromising the data quality."  -Nigel Wilson,General Manager of Exploration, Oil Search
